OSSCE-ILA MATRICULATES THE 2018/ 2019 EKSU REGULAR DEGREE STUDENTS.
Its another milestone in the history of the Osun State College of Education,Ila Orangun as the newly admitted EKSU students are being matriculated for the 2018/2019 academic year.
The programme started with good number of students,staff and well wishers in attendance at the dot of 10:00am.
The Acting Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Prof.Mrs O.B Ajayi declared the ceremony open following her invitation by the Registrar of the College.
The Registrar of the University,who was ably represented by Director,Academic Affairs, Mrs CK Ogunsakin, conducted the matriculation oath reading on the presentation of the matriculating students by the Dean, Faculty of Education, Prof. J.B Oyedele.
The college Provost, who was represented by his Deputy,Dr Kunle Bamigbala, in his opening speech expressed his delight as he welcomed all the matriculating students and congratulated the three hundred and ninety(390) fortunate ones that have been admitted.He assured the students that the college will ensure working towards the moral excellence its noted for,he also affirmed that security of students will be guaranteed.He advised that the students should abide by the rules and regulations of the school and shun any act of indiscipline. He also emphasised the need to take their academics very seriously.
In her own remark, the Acting Vice Chancellor of EKSU congratulated the matriculating students and encouraged them to utilise all available facilities and enabling environment as a good opportunity for learning and maximising the achievement of their goals on the programme.she admonished the students to be of good behaviour and be hardworking. She also urged them to to pay their school fees and other neccessary dues promptly and as at when due as the University authority will not take kindly to any student defaulters. The VC further advised them to shun vices capable of making them to be rusticated from the programme.She prayed that none of them will fall by the way side.
The ceremony was brought to an end with the Acting EKSU VC declaring it closed by 11:15am.
