Oyewole pledges college’s commitment to west in Fine Arts Department

The Provost of the Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun, Prof. Isaac Olayinka Oyewole has disclosed the readiness of the College to invest in the Fine Arts Department to enhance Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) by going into commercial venture.

Prof. Oyewole made this disclosure today at the Fine Arts Exhibition to showcase various arts works of the Fine Arts department of the College.

According to the Provost, the department would go into massive production of various arts works like greeting cards, banners, postals, photography, decoration and others that would, no doubt be available to the members of the public and as well to generate fund to the coffers of the College.

The Provost who said that the era of looking for white collar job is gone in Nigeria, admonished the students of the Fine Arts Department and others, to develop themselves in entrepreneurship skill for a better future.

The Provost lauded the Governor, State of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola for campaigning for self reliance through entrepreneurial activities for the youth rather than engaging in Okada riding.

Conducting the Management team round the exhibition, the Dean, School of Vocational and Technical Education, Mrs.Adeola Adeoti appealed to the College authority to support the Department in its quest to become money generating arm of the College. Mrs. Adeoti promised to continue to work assiduously to ensure that the students of the department are better trained.
