OSSCE ILA Hosts Pre-NUC accreditation panel
The Osun State College of Education, Ila-Orangun hosted the National University Commission, Abuja on pre-accreditation visit to the Ekiti State University Degree programme on Monday 2nd July,2017.
The four man panel arrived the college on Sunday 1st July, 2018 and were received on behalf of the college management by the waiting hands of the Deputy Provost of the college, Dr. Kunle Bamigbala, the Director of the programme, Dr Mrs. Oladosu and the College Public Relation Officer, Mr. Dotun Oni.
After warm reception of the accreditors by the college management ably led by the College Provost, Prof. Isaac Oyewole ,the official inspection and assessment of all the college facilities, equipment, personnel sand other needful commenced with Prof. Ajibero, the NUC team leader, Mrs. Mary Uche, Secretary to the team and other members were Messrs Ladan and Obi .
The accreditors were conducted round all the departments floated for Ekiti State University degree programme. Students and lecturers were observed in lecture halls while lectures were on-going. Visit was also made to all science laboratories available in the college together with the resource centres and Counselling Units.
Following the physical assessment and inspection of facilities on ground, the inspection of records, varying from students’ assessment records, teaching and non teaching staff qualifications, students’ disciplinary cases and students’ handbook was done.
At the end of the exercise, a general briefing was done by the accreditors with all the academic heads and the college management in attendance on their observations and how improvements could be made where applicable in order to enhance a successful final accreditation coming up in November, 2018.
