OSSCE ILA HOSTS 2019 ACCREDITATION EXERCISE IN GRAND STYLE
The long awaited 2019 Accreditation Exercise of the Osun State College of Education Ila Orangun finally came up on the 22nd July, 2019 amidst jubilation and full expression of joy by the college management, staff and students.
The exercise commenced by 10.00am with welcoming ceremony which featured varieties of entertaining programmes such as Orangun troupe dancers and Eegun Elewe performance, to mention but few.
The provost of the college, Prof. Isaac Olayinka Oyewole in his opening speech, warmly welcomed the NCCE team under the leadership of Mr Badmus, on behalf of the College management staff and students of the college. He enjoined the team to feel at home and be ready to work with the college towards its sustainability. He assured the team that the college is fully prepared for the exercise and boasted that they will not have anything to complain about at the end of the exercise. He never failed to laud the efforts of the NCCE for the mobilization of the team to make the exercise a reality.
In his reaction, The team leader, Mr Badmus thanked the college management, staff and students for the warm reception and their readiness to work together towards the progress of the college. He further said that accreditation is not principally to sanction or nail any institution but to ensure that all the institution work in tune with the NCCE guidelines and also to make sure that all the courses offered in the institution are still relevant and not outdated.
He promised that the team will leave no stone unturned towards ensuring that the college ranks high among its contemporaries.
Sequel the reception programme the team were dispatched based on the area of specialization for the accreditation purpose to the various schools in the college.
The following were the six schools to be accredited in the college:
- School of Arts & SOS
- School of Education
- School of Languages
- School of Science
- School of Voc & Tech
- School of Early Childhood
The accreditation exercise spanned between Monday 22nd July and Friday 26th July 2019 and was successfully hosted by the college.
The College Management appreciates the NCCE, staff, students and well wishers for the support and useful contribution towards the success of the accreditation exercise.
