OSSCE ILA WEARS A NEW FACE LIFT

The Osun State College of Education Ila Orangun has bounced back again in its renovation and construction mission as the college is now taking a new outlook with the upcoming of new buildings and renovation of the old ones.

Among the notable ones which are under construction is the Ultra Modern Administrative storey building, which is expected to house all the principal officers and ancillary offices. Other projects include, the over 1000 capacity lecture theatre sited close to the School of Arts and Social Sciences and the Student Union Building (SUB) sited beside the school of Science, which are expected to be completed soonest.

It is heartwarming to report that the renovation of old buildings such as staff offices and lecture halls have also commenced, this also extends to the old Administrative block comprising the Provost office, Registry department, Bursary department, Health centre, Works and Services unit and the Directorate of Degree programme and the college sports complex.

The Provost of the college, Prof. Isaac Olayinka Oyewole in an interview granted him recently assured that the ultra modern Administrative storey building still under construction with the assistance of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) is expected to rank high among the world class. He emphasized that work will not stop on the construction until its completion. He also expressed appreciation to the kind gesture of the Tertiary Education trust Fund (TETFUND) towards the college in ensuring that the college benefits from the laudable dividends as being dispensed by the government agency. He reiterated that more renovations are still in the offing.

The Provost is also optimistic that in no distant time the college will be upgraded to a federal institution which will expand the frontier of students seeking admission to the college. He solicited for the support of both staff and students in making sure that the college realizes its goals and mission in order to get to the Promised Land.
